Ep. 7 - Weekly Pitch Deck Feedback Session

In our weekly deck roast, we offer startups candid feedback to enhance success. Our aim is to help you secure meetings, build relationships, and pave the way for triumph—not just investment closure, but impactful entry.

We do the weekly pitch deck review every Friday at 1 pm ET. We review all submitted decks and give feedback on previously submitted and modified decks.

Last week, we reviewed BOTTLESS and assigned a rating of 3 according to our scoring system. For HomeLodgers, they received a rating of 2.

  • Rating of 3 (BOTTLESS): This suggests a potential misalignment between a strong business idea and the deck's presentation. There are areas to address to bridge this gap.

  • Rating of 2 (HomeLodgers): While some coherent elements exist, the deck falls short of fully convincing investors. There's room for improvement to make it more compelling.

These ratings reflect our assessment of each deck's readiness for funding and provide valuable guidance for refining their pitches.

How does our Scoring System work:

Each pitch deck received a final score from 0 to 5, indicating its readiness for funding:

  • 0:  Suggests an unfinished or highly deficient deck, hindering progress.
  • 1:  Indicates a lack of effort in crafting a compelling presentation.
  • 2:  Acknowledges some coherent elements but falls short of convincing investors.
  • 3:  Identifies potential misalignment between a strong business and a weak deck or vice versa.
  • 4:  Highlights a promising venture with minor details or missing pieces to address.
  • 5:  Ready for funding, impressing investors with a well-rounded deck.

What to Expect from the Roast Experience:

Our approach is direct and genuine:
